Dinky Supertoys No. 964 Elevator Loader

Description

This Dinky Supertoys No. 964 Elevator Loader is a die-cast metal model of a Barber-Greene Olding construction machine. The object features a two-tone color scheme: the main chassis and the inclined elevator housing are painted in yellow, while the large front collection hopper and the rear discharge chute are finished in blue. The model is equipped with a black rubber conveyor belt that runs the length of the elevator, designed to be operated by a manual crank handle with a brown knob located on the side. The loader sits on four grey rubber tires mounted on blue-painted metal hubs. The interior of the front hopper contains embossed text identifying the model as 'DINKY SUPERTOYS', 'BARBER-GREENE OLDING ELEVATOR LOADER', and 'MADE IN ENGLAND BY MECCANO LTD'. A black metal tow hitch is attached to the rear. The overall condition shows signs of use, with paint chipping visible on the edges of the yellow and blue components. The grey rubber tires exhibit significant cracking and surface degradation, which is typical for vintage rubber components of this age. The mechanical structure includes simulated engine details and structural bracing cast into the yellow frame.
