Description

This specimen is a cluster of interlocking green fluorite crystals. The crystals exhibit a distinct cubic habit, characteristic of the isometric crystal system. The color is a consistent pale to medium sea-green throughout the aggregate. The luster is predominantly vitreous on the crystal faces, although some edges and surfaces show white, frosted textures, which are likely minor cleavage steps or surface abrasions. The specimen is translucent, allowing light to penetrate the crystal mass. The structure is a three-dimensional cluster with crystals of varying sizes, the largest situated near the top. No significant matrix of a different mineral species is visible on the exterior surfaces shown in the image.
